Baltimore Running Festival Charity Team
In an instant lives can be forever changed by trauma. For more than 40 years, the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at University of Maryland Medical Center has been providing uncompromising and unparalleled care to those that have been critically injured. A survivor’s life after trauma has many ups and downs. Healing the physical injuries of trauma is only a portion of recovery: an individual also needs to heal emotionally. We are in awe of the strength and courage that must be mobilized in order to heal, and we understand that recovery after a devastating injury can be a long and complex journey – often times lasting a life time. We are committed to supporting patients and their families throughout their journey toward wellness.
For seven years the Shock Trauma Center Running Team, which supports the Trauma Survivors Network (TSN), has been a dedicated team participant in the Baltimore Running Festival. Named the 2016 Charity Team of the Year, the team brought together over 260 runners, volunteers, sponsors and supporters.
Be a part of something extraordinary and join us in support of the Shock Trauma Center and the TSN. We promise you will feel the energy!
